With an increasing attention on acoustics within office spaces, Clarify was conceived as an opportunity to combat sound reflectivity in large to medium scale rooms. Through internal research, it was established that enclosed rooms that used Teknion glass walls were constructed with drywall demising walls approximately 70 percent of the time. The combination of glass and drywall made for completed projects with multiple hard surfaces, with the unintended consequence of poor sound absorption. Clarify became an element that could add turnkey acoustic value to new and existing building projects, while complementing Teknion’s wall portfolio.
productivity and well being
Clarify consists of sound absorbing panels and tiles that mount to conventional construction. Sound absorption greatly improves acoustic clarity within group meetings and teleconferencing situations, while increasing concentration during critical tasks. Clarify panels protrude 2-1/8" from the building wall and are constructed of fabric, fiberglass, perforated MDF and cotton insulation within an aluminum frame for optimal sound absorption.
compositional freedom
Clarify is offered in 18 discrete panel sizes, based on a 12 inch increment logic. Panel sizes are available in landscape or portrait format and can be combined to create limitless compositions. Mounting directly to building surfaces gives the product the ability to place and orient fascias with a high degree of flexibility and creativity, differentiating the solution from typical demountable wall systems. The wide array of possible compositions is further enhanced by the ability to mix and match finishes.
softer, textured spaces
The solution leverages existing Teknion & Luum fabric lines, adding visual comfort to rooms with multiple hard surfaces. The variety of textural and color opportunities can further enhance the quality of any interior space.
